Versa SASE Client Release Notes for Linux
These release notes describe features, enhancements, and fixes in all releases of the Versa SASE client software for Linux operating system. The SASE client supports the following Linux distributions:
- Debian 10 (Buster) and later (equivalent to Ubuntu 18.04 and later)
- Fedora 34 and later (equivalent to RHEL8 or CentOS8 and later)

Install the Versa SASE Client
To install the Versa SASE client for Linux, download the versa-sase-client.deb package (for Debian-based distributions) or versa-sase-client.rpm package (for Fedora-based distributions).
Double-click the package, and open it with the distribution's software tool.

- Add support to create a unique EAP ID for the same user who logs in from different devices.

Fixed Bugs
- Client application hangs after resuming from Sleep mode.
- Network Adapter information is missing in the Connection Details window.
- Client application occasionally hangs during registration or connection.
- User connects to the same gateway group regardless of the group they select.
- Connection Statistics window is blank at times.

New Features
- LDAP, local, OTP, SAML, and TOTP registration and user authentication.
- Create and delete routes and DNS rules based on the VPN profile received from the captive portal during registration.
- Connect to group and individual VPN profiles.
- Set log level and export logs. See Perform Diagnostics and Export Logs.
- Display details about registered enterprises. You can modify the user ID and password in the Account Details window and choose to remember credentials.
- Connection Details window displays information such as VPN type, authentication type, local and public IP address, ISP, destination, network adapter, and tunnel address. See Display Connection Details.
